Newport Harbor Ring of Lights.  Temperature H 78 L 61 Newport Beach, CA

 

Rented a 30' Catalina tonight "Catatonic" from Marina Sailing.  Cost totalled around $200.00 with fees and taxes.  Had a wonderfull time.  'The boy' and I first motored outside the breakwater trying to do a little sailing before friends arrived late in the afternoon.  We were rewarded for our efforts with glass seas and absolutely no breeze.  After floating around for a few we fired up thumper and headed into the harbor to check out the route since it's been 2 years since I've been in Newport.  After taking a little trip Danny, Susan, Kerstyan and her friend came down and actually found parking on the island, later Wifey, her mom, aunt and two other of our friends came and had to park in an alternate place and we picked them up at those docks about 10 mins away.

 

The light were nice and the weather could not have been nicer.  I don't know if I'd do it again, at least not next year we'll have to see.
